The 2019 session of ‘CFO Insights’, the largest CFO conference in the Nordics, will be held in Copenhagen in mid-June under the headline of ‘Today’s challenges, tomorrow’s CFO’. In 2018, the conference had more than 600 attendees (CFOs, future CFOs and Finance professionals) and around 40 speakers.
This year, Beyond Budgeting Partner Anders Olesen will take part in a panel debate on ‘Finance Transformation’; in this connection, he has written a blog post (in Danish) presenting Basico’s proposal for a description of the transformed Finance function. Anders’ blog post is inspired by Jeremy Hope’s article entitled ‘The role of Finance in the New Management Model, which is still as relevant and useful as when it was written more than ten years ago. Therefore, the article has been revised and republished recently.
Appetizer for the CFO Insights Conference
The CFO of today is facing a rapidly changing environment, increasingly due to technological development. Previously, the CFO’s responsibility was within the finance function alone, but as times are changing, the CFO now has the opportunity to deliver an entirely new value proposition. To remain at the top, CFOs have to act and capture the full potential of new technologies and implement them through inspiring leadership. Building on this, CFO Insights 2019 will address which competencies are needed to succeed as a CFO today and in the future. Through inspiring cases, panel debates and workshops, it will give insights into which tools you should invest in, what type of mindset is paramount to succeed and how you create more value for your customers.
Three main topics will guide the conference:
- Leadership and Strategy
- Technological Value Creation
- Future Trends.
